Vera Meulendijks is a visual artist based in Tilburg. In her practice she combines different disciplines, all graphically oriented. Her work is expressed in drawings, paintings, screen prints, riso prints, textile- and tuftworks and books. Perspective and visual tensions are an important part of her process.

Her work manifests itself somewhere between recognition and alienation. Her work focuses on the tension between order and disorder, analog and digital, rhythm and chaos, black and white.

Vera is interested in the limitations, imperfections and beauty of the analogue craft and the contrast with the infinite possibilities of digital technologies. More specifically, how these boundaries between them can be crossed. In a digital world where computers and printers must strive for perfection and exceed human capabilities, Vera exposes and celebrates the imperfections.
